Mrs. Addie Bell Moon (Alston)

Mrs. Addie B Moon, 83 of Aliquippa, quietly passed away in her home on January 14, 2023,   surrounded by her family.  She was born January 16, 1939 in Pittsboro NC to the Late Robert Ross and Mrs. Lessie Alston.

Addie was a selfless person, who put her family and children's needs and wants before her own.   Her caring heart for others character was evident as she worked for Brighton Rehabilitation Center (formally Beaver Valley Geriatric Center) in Beaver, PA.

During her time employed there, that's where she demonstrated her love and care for others.

Most of the staff quickly became family as she was a mother figure to all co- workers and residents alike.  Addie happily retired from her position in 2004. But the friendships and family that was created while working there lasted until her death.  Addie was also a long-time,  beloved and cherished member of Ebenezer AME Church in Aliquippa.

Addie was proceeded in death by her parents, husband; Elzie Moon Sr, . sons; Larry D. Moon and  James A. Moon, daughter Pamela A. Pope, sisters; Nella Ree Henderson and Ora Wilma Alston, brothers; Isaac D. Alston, Carl Alston, Benjamin Alston, Robert E. Alston, and Rufus Richardson, Grandchildren; Sherece R. Hollins, James A Moon Jr., Alex D Moon and Trinity Saniya Addie Bell Moon.

Addie's memory will be cherished by her brother James E. Alston, Aliquippa PA. four sons; Terry (Diane) Moon, Tacoma WA, Timothy D. Moon, Tacoma WA, Elzie Moon Jr. (Shawnie), Aliquippa, PA, Troy L. Moon, Pulaski Twshp, PA, daughter Lisa M. Pope (Edward), Aliquippa, PA and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, devoted great-granddaughter, Paris N. Moon, as well a host of family and friends.
