Anna Mae Brown, 87 of Monaca, PA, has gone from her earthly labor to her heavenly reward on April 13, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born August 30, 1937 in Sardis, MS to Harry and Ruth Pipkin and moved with her family to Aliquippa in 1945. Mother Brown, as known by all, but affectionately known as "Granny" by her grandchildren, was loving, giving, kind hearted and full of joy.

Mother Brown loved to go to church and bible study. She also loved to travel, especially to visit her children and grandchildren. She was a great cook and baker, best known for her buckeye cookies. A true fashionista, Anna Mae could often be found shopping at Boscov's. Her favorite hobbies were reading the bible, listening to the gospel station, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and talking on the phone to her sisters and friends.

Anna Mae graduated from Aliquippa High School in 1956 and graduated with honors from the Community College of Beaver County. Anna Mae retired as a Teacher from Beaver County Head Start after 35 years of dedicated service. She was past 'Mother of the Year' honoree by the Floral Commitee at Triedstone Baptist Church.  In 2017, she received the Aliquippa Mayor's Key to the City at a ceremony held at the B.F. Jones Memorial Library.  In May 2015, she was consecrated as a Senior Mother of the Church of Christ Kingdom Ministries in Aliquippa.

Anna Mae is preceded in death by her husband, James Brown, parents, Harry and Ruth Pipkin, brothers Harry Jr., Harold, and Charles Pipkin, sisters Josephine Williams, Sarah Gilbert, and Lucille Gist, and sister-in-law Rosie Brown.

She is survived by brother Robert (Yvonne) Pipkin of Phoenix, Arizona and sister, Gloria Jackson of New Brighton, PA, children Angelice (Calvin) Johnson of Providence, RI, Kevin  (Michelle) Brown of Lafayette Hill, PA, Vernon (Waqueta) Brown of Decatur, GA and Tinita Fields of Aliquippa, PA, 7 grandchildren – Tirhea (David Sr.) Ware of Newark DE, Rashad Brown of Owning Mills, MD, Amber and Armena Brown of Atlanta, GA, Jannelle Brown of Claymont, DE, Jaleel and Javod Fields of Aliquippa, PA., 2 great-grandchildren – Kavia Mae Fields and David Ware, Jr., and goddaughter Kenya Ellis of Virginia. She leaves behind her Pastor, spiritual leader and adopted son, Rev. Jumar (First Lady Tamara) Mike, Sr., adopted daughter, Bonita (John) Nance, special friends Vicky Winn, Darlene Giles, JoLorraine Woods, Mattie McCoy and Mother Potter, and caregiver Carla Foster. And leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, former students, and her church family.
