Audrey Elizabeth Sabala Obituary

Audrey Elizabeth Sabala age 73, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Thursday, March 04, 2021. She was born on May 12, 1947 in Erie Pa to the late, Fred and Catherine Leatherwood Young.

Audrey was faithful to the living God she served, she never lost her faith always praying for her children and anyone that came across her path. She was a blessing to them all.

Audrey was a Homemaker, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, friend, and Best Friend who loved to Pray, Sing, watch movies, wear her wigs, cook, and play video games. Audrey also loved to sing in her own choir while also having church on the phone or internet. In her later days her new joy came in the form of her grandson Poo Poo (Pooder) who added much life and joy to her home and family while also giving her something to do.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Lester Jamie Young, Sister Marcia A. Hughes, and her Brother in-law Joe L. Hughes Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 15 years Tim Sabala of  Lawrenceville, GA,, along with her children: Steven Haraway (Patricia) of Lawrenceville, GA, Robert Bobby Young Bush (Tracey), Robin Dixon (Keith) of Erie,  Cathy Young of Milwaukee WI, Kevin Carroll, Darrick Carroll of Muscogee Ga, Kermit Carroll(Temeka) Marietta Ga, Roscoe Carroll (Shatoia) of Erie, Ruth Carroll, Sam Carroll, Rachel Carroll of Lawrenceville, GA, Craig Carroll of Carroll County Illinois. 37 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren and four siblings; Fred Young Jr.,Bonnie Young, Shelly Holloway, Melvyn Henderson, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special Dear Friend Valetta Joyce (Page)Hart, and her favorite Sister in-law Darlene Young.

Friends may visit with the family at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 1813 Schaal Avenue Erie Pa, on Saturday March 13, 2021 from 10 am to 12 pm, where a home going celebration will immediately follow, with Elder Willie Gavin Officiator, and Overseer Sonny Concepcion eulogizing. Interment will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Professional Services are entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Avenue, Erie, PA 16504.
