Barbara Ann Price was born in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania on September 25, 1971. She went home to be with her Savior on Friday, December 27, 2024. Barbara Ann was the youngest child born to the union of Deacon Willie and Jeannette Price. At the age of two, Barbara fell from a balcony and survived. After this fall, her parents began referring to her as their "Miracle Child". As a result of the fall, the doctors declared she would never be able to speak. It was during that time she began to sing, and became known as the "Family Songbird".

Barbara was a proud Graduate of Aliquippa Jr. & Sr. High School Class of 1989. She serenaded the crowd with her beautiful, melodic voice while performing in school plays & concerts, also singing the National Anthem during many football games. She continued her education at Duquesne University and Community College of Beaver County, where she received her degree in Criminal Justice.

Even though she had no children of own, she had a maternal love for babies and youth, and it was truly felt throughout her professional career. For years, she worked with troubled youth at Holy Family Institute and began mentoring young ladies at Gwen's Girls. Her love and compassion for troubled youth continued when she relocated to Atlanta. She began working for Five Star Academy and the Black Push Organization. While serving the Clayton County Community, she assisted women who were victims of human trafficking then helped to educate students at M.D. Robert's School of the Arts. Barbara was passionate about mentoring young people, fighting to keep them out of the legal system, and nurturing them when they did not feel loved by sharing the goodness of Christ.

Barbara began her walk with Christ at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Aliquippa with her family. As a teenager, she became a member of The Church in the Round in Aliquippa under the leadership of the late Bishop Melvin E. Clark, Sr. She joined the Church in the Round Choir under the direction of her Godfather and mentor, the late Elder Curtis Lewis, Sr. God then led her to Pentecostal Temple COGIC under the leadership of the late Bishop Loran E. Mann and Pastor Barbara Mann. She served as praise & worship leader and choir director. She also shared her gifts at Greater Miracle Ministries, under the leadership of Bishop Laneer Fisher.

Barbara was known for her powerful soprano voice. Her voice was heard not only across the Greater Pittsburgh area, but nationally as well as internationally.  She was a member of Trini Massie and The Pittsburgh Love Outreach Chorale, Curtis Lewis and Friends, Adoration Youth and Young Adult Choir, while singing background vocals for many other groups. She was blessed to sing internationally throughout Europe often performing before sold out concert halls. In addition to singing in churches, choirs and on worship teams, Barbara also had an extensive theater background. She performed in the University of Pittsburgh's Kuntu Repertory Theatre portraying Mahalia Jackson in "Standing on Holy Ground," as well as the University of Pittsburgh Presents "Black Nativity" and many more stage plays.

After relocating to Atlanta, Barbara continued worshiping under the leadership of the late Bishop Eddie Long at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the choir and drama team.

She then became a member of Worship Center of Atlanta under the leadership of Bishop-Elect Luther McKinstry III. She served God's people there as praise and worship leader before being elevated to Elder Barbara Ann Price on November 4, 2018.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Deacon Willie and Jeannette Price, paternal grandparents Henry and Mary Belle Price, maternal grandparents Reverend J.C. Freeman and Loretta Goings-Freeman, sister Kimorra "Toots" Price and brother-in-law James Sales.

Elder Barbara Price leaves to cherish her memory: three sisters, Nollita (Jeffery) Tubbs, of Georgia, Willena (John) Barton, of Tennessee, Jackie Sales, of Pennsylvania, three nieces; Kimorra, Jonyae, and Jayla, one nephew Jeffery Jr., two great nephews Aiden and Jamari, and one great niece JaMeria. Aunts: Margaretta (Jerome) Nichols, of Michigan, Dorothy Woods, Georgia Mae Price, Bolivia (Sylvester) Gilliam, Susie Freeman, special aunt, Jeanette Stewart, special cousin, Genetha Woods-Short, all of Pennsylvania. Best friends: Crystal Manker, Danean Barclay, Marian Kay Jefferson, Kisha Russell Green, and Trini Massie.

Barbara's legacy of faith, unconditional love, and music will continue to inspire and encourage all who knew and loved her.
