On Friday, September 4, 2026, Benjamin Davis went home to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born on July 25, 1934, in Georgetown, Georgia, to Lenward and Rosie Lee Davis. During his childhood, the family moved to Eufaula, Alabama.

Benjamin graduated from Van Buren High School in Eufaula. He later joined the United States Army, where he served his country honorably and received an Honorable Discharge. In 1959, Benjamin moved to Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. That same year, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. In 1960, he became a devoted member of the First Church of God in Christ under Pastor Melvin E. Clark.

Benjamin served faithfully as a Levite, a Deacon, a member of the Elder's Board, and on the transportation committee. He was known for his strong prayer ministry, his compassionate ministry to the sick and shut-in, and his patient dedication to teaching elder saints how to drive.

Benjamin retired from J&L Steel and later continued serving his community as a school bus driver for the Aliquippa School District until his second retirement.

Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents, Lenward and Rosie Lee Davis, and his siblings: Lenward Davis Jr., Elder Henry Allen Davis, Minnie Lee Gilbert, and Dora Crews.

He leaves behind his loving family: his devoted wife of 65 years, Alice Ruth Dr one son and five daughters- Benjami Kelly (Columbus, GA), Berneita Harrov (Thaddeus) (Fayetteville, GA), Jacqui D (Glen Burnie, MD), Javonna Howze (Er (Sims, NC), Jessica Davis (NC), Jennifer Davis Waller (Lynn) (Aliquippa, PA). He also leaves behind one sister, Rosie Ler Dennis of Pittsburgh, PA. Benjamin was blessed with seven grandchildren: Kierra Harrow, lan (April) Harrow, Jared (Jenny) Davis, Thomas Ashley, Joi Waller, Jonathan Waller, and Julian Waller; and three great-grandchildren: Jordan Davis, Jayleigh Davis, and Aeris Harrow. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his immediate family, as well as by his nieces, nephews, extended relatives, church family, and friends.
