Benjamin Jordan, 58, of Erie, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at the Erie VA Medical Center. He was born in Erie, PA on August 19, 1960 to the late Fred and Evelyn Baldwin Jordan.

Benjamin graduated from Technical Memorial High School in 1980. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post 700. Benjamin was an employee at Erie Coke for over 30 years an enjoyed basketball and football, his favorite team was the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In addition to his parents, Benjamin was preceded in death by his brother, Oliver Jordan.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his lifelong partner, Rebecca Thompson; one daughter, Taquisha Thompson; six sisters, Chappie, Delores, Mary, Lavette, and Evangeline "Cookie" Jordan of Erie, PA and Mattie (Roy) Elder of Pittsburgh, PA; two brothers, Willie A. and John Lee Jordan of Erie, PA; Poppa's boy, Isaac Thompson, six grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may visit with the family at Abundant Life Ministries, 806 Parade Street, on Monday, April 15, 2019, from 11 am to 1pm, where a funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor Ryan Gaines eulogizing. Interment will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Professional services are entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Avenue, Erie, PA 16504.
