Billie Norene Lindsey Brewer, Erie, PA, formerly of Meadville, PA, passed away on May 6, 2021 at 5:25 a.m., at home. She was born on Dec. 13, 1944 in Meadville, PA, daughter of the late Ed Howard Lindsey and Montiel Strickland Lindsey if Meadville, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Darren Vaughn Burnett; husband Edward Brewer, and sisters – Patricia Lindsey and Toni Lindsey, also her step-children Bettylou Tate, Albert Moore, Flazell Brewer, Mae Will Chandler, Gregory Brewer, Rawleigh Brewer.

She was a long time foster parent and adopted five. She was an avid animal lover and even had a monkey at one point. She loved music and dancing.

She also loved her God Jehovah and teaching people about him. She was a devoted Jehovah Witness and attended the Pineview Congregation. She was baptized over 40 years.

She leaves to cherish her many memories her brothers – Howard Lindsey of Meadville, PA and Jan Lindsey of New Jersey; sisters – Donna Clark of Florida and Ginger Jones of Wisconsin; her three sons – John Tyrone Lindsey (Stacey) and Vantione Lindsey of Erie, PA and Ronald Lindsey of Florida, also her seven daughter – Monica Atkinson (Stevie), Felicia Holmes (Shannon), Billiejo Vazquez (Jaime) of Erie, PA, Ramona Rogers of Buffalo, NY, Charles Barnes, Baytiajo Lindsey pf Erie, PA, Bobbyjo Lindsey and Bettiejo Lindsey of Florida. Also her step-children Brendia Brewer, Anthony Brewer, Willie Brewer, Geraldine Wynn, Annie Ruth, Fredia Robinson and Rosie Brewer; 45 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Billie Brewer ran a great race and fought a fine fight.
