Billye Priscilla Lewis transitioned into the arms of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. She was born September 28, 1944 in Aliquippa, PA to the late William and Pauline Wallace.

Billye was a 1962 graduate of Aliquippa High School. She was a long tenured employee of USAirways, formerly known as Allegheny Airlines, for 31+ years.   She was an avid seamstress, an accomplished wedding coordinator, whatever her hands found to do, she did it wholeheartedly.  B.C. (before Christ), Billye was known to have a passion for dancing, which afforded her the opportunity to appear on American Bandstand, when she was supposed to be in church. She learned a new dance when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1961 during a revival where then, Evangelist Chandler Owens was the guest minister. Her spiritual journey continued under the late Bishop Melvin E. Clark, Sr.

Billye was a faithful member of the Church in the Round where she was a member of various auxiliaries. She was the first State Sewing Circle/Artistic Fingers president of the 2nd Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of PA. She was a newly appointed Associate Mother on the Church in the Round Mothers' Board.

Billye was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Dr. Curtis R. Lewis, her mother and father, her eldest sister, Valdoris Odom Nickols. She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Carsetta Lyles (Danny), Blake, Melva Massey (D'Von Ricky), Curtis E., Douglas; sisters: Lillian Illise Woods, Arjetta LaValley, Karen Washington, Felita Iverson, Hope Iverson brothers: Bishop Bernard Wallace (Gladys), Trustee Ronald Wallace (Kay), Elder Larimen Wallace (Sabrina), Lamont Iverson, Eugene Iverson; five grandchildren: Curtis Terral Lewis, Zahria Lewis, Xavier Massey, D'Anni Lyles, Serenity Lewis; one great granddaughter: Haylo Kai Lewis; godchildren: Christyn Gilliam, Genna-Gabrielle Cobb Peters, Erika & Bruce Morris; devoted friends, Mother Juanita Kimbrough (co-worker), the late Joann Morris, Denise Fultz, Brenda Stewart, Pastor Gayle Barnard Cobb, Tonawanda Korff, Ida Haley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
