Sister Brenda Faye McGowan- Williams, age 67, gained her wings on April 21, 2025. She was born in Laurel, MS, on August 24, 1957 to the late Larkin McGowan and Ruthie Lee Jones – Cooley.

Brenda enjoyed reading her Bible, and watching football (a diehard New Orleans Saints fan). She was a very encouraging women. She touched a lot of people hearts. She loved her grandchildren - Larkin McGowan, Cortez McGowan, Devion Boykin, Cory Boykin, and the apple of her eye Keiaundria Boykin, and her great grandchildren so much. Sister Brenda was a faithful member of Bethel Apostolic Church.

She was preceded in death by the women who raised her Mary McGowan; sisters – Rosezena Taylor, Bernice Gantt; and nephew Bryan Jones.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 37 years, Rondy Williams Sr.; children – Alonzo McGowan of Long Beach, CA, Chiara Boykin of Erie, PA; her furry baby snowball; brothers – Dennis (Diann) McGowan of Mississippi, Bennie (Latrece) McGowan of Long Beach, CA; sisters – Gloria (Mark)Price of Long Beach, CA, Cherri (Robert) Spencer of Mississippi, Sonja June of Mississippi; many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. A special friend Peggy Sparks.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, May 02, 2025, at Bethel Apostolic Church, 229 E 16th Street, Erie, PA 16503, from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M., with a celebration of life to follow. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery. Professional services are entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Ave, Erie, PA 16504.
