Brian Allen Cox

October 8, 1979 – September 7, 2026

Brian Allen Cox, a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, entrepreneur, and community pillar, departed this life on September 7, 2026. Born on October 8, 1979, in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, Brian was a proud product of the city he loved and served throughout his life.

Brian graduated from Aliquippa High School with the Class of 1999. His love for his hometown remained a defining part of his life, and he stayed deeply connected to the people and community that helped shape him. That connection was reflected in both his work and his service to others.

With an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for building, Brian established and operated Legends Barber Shop, Nail Shop “Polished” and the Aliquippa Laundromat. He also owned numerous properties. Yet his accomplishments were never measured solely by what he built or owned. Brian believed that success also meant giving back, creating opportunities, and helping others.

His commitment to Aliquippa was evident through his involvement as a dedicated community activist and pillar. Through his affiliation with ACROP and as an active member of the Quippian Club he was able to give back to the city. He also participated in community events such as Community Days and organized back-to-school drives and toy drives for families and children throughout the area. Through his generosity and active involvement, Brian demonstrated his enduring devotion to the city he called home.

Outside of his work and community service, Brian enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers and Aliquippa Quips fan. He enjoyed playing chess, playing baseball games on his phone, taking trips, and going out to eat. Most of all, he treasured spending time with the people he loved.

Family held a special place in Brian’s heart. He took great pride in being a father and grandfather and cherished time spent with his daughters and grandson. Whether he was hanging out with his daughters, playing with his grandson, or simply being present with his loved ones, Brian showed his family how deeply he cared for them.

Faith also became an important part of Brian’s life. Following the passing of his beloved mother, Linda Jean Cox, in April 2026, Brian gave his life to the Lord at Deliverance Temple COGIC in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. During that season, he sought to grow closer to God, and his faith became an important part of his journey.

Brian was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Linda Jean Cox; his uncle, Squebbee Cox; his aunt, Brenda Harvey; his maternal grandparents, Novella and Mack Cox; his paternal aunt, Janie Burket-Fox of New York; his paternal uncles, Julius Jackson Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, and Ronald Jackson (Deborah) of Rochester, Pennsylvania; and his paternal grandparents, Julius and Helen Jackson of Rochester, Pennsylvania.

He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Keith Jackson Sr. and his wife, Shari Jackson; his daughters, Bria Cox and Qiyawni Cox (Danye Williams); his bonus son, Anthony Johnson III; his beloved grandson, Denym Williams; and his girlfriend, Shayla Lincoln.

Brian is also survived by his siblings, Keith Jackson Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada; Tamyka Jackson of Pontiac, Michigan; Michael Holiday of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania; Josiah Jackson of Rochester, Pennsylvania; Sierra Jackson of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania; and Dorian Jackson of Rochester, Pennsylvania.

He leaves behind his aunts, Lisa McKenzie, Sheila Hill, Venita Ann Fisher, Yolanda (Kevin) Mosley, Mother Annie Ruth Robinson, Kathy Morris (Tony Character) of Rochester, Pennsylvania, and Linda Jones Fowler (Paul) of Long Island, New York; and his uncles, Andre Cox, Stanley Cox, Metford Jackson of New York, and Richard Jackson (Lois) of Ohioville, Pennsylvania.

Brian will also be lovingly remembered by his favorite cousins, Johnathan Harvey (Kiara) and Jason Harvey (Tyniesha Flannigan); his special friends, Davida Myers, Lakeya Whatley, and Imani Solomon; and his cherished friends, including Antwone Jones, Andre Stevenson, Bobby Cashaw, and Keir Jeter, along with the Aliquippa High School Class of 1999. He will also be remembered by the many friends, cousins, family members, neighbors, and community members whose lives he touched.

Brian’s life was a testament to family, faith, entrepreneurship, community, and service. He leaves behind more than businesses and properties; he leaves lasting memories, meaningful relationships, and a legacy of giving back.

Although he has departed this earthly life, Brian’s impact on his family, his community, and all who knew and loved him will continue to live on.

May his memory forever be a blessing, and may he rest in the peace of the Lord.
