Birdette Green, 91, of Erie, PA passed away on Monday Aug 8, at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born on Feb 18, 1931 in Hinds, MS to the late Ruben and Ledora Mosley – Henderson. She was married to the late Jessie Green for over 50 years.

Birdette went to school in Hinds, MS. She was a lifelong member of Holy Hill Baptist Church where she was an usher and sang in the choir.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters – Luella and Lula May Henderson; two sons – Larry and David Green; daughter – Mary Lee Green Marsh; granddaughter – Yvette Miller; two grandsons – Jessie Lee Green and Davone Akeem Jones.

She leaves to cherish her memory – one sister – Ethel Lee Lewis; son – Saleem Muhammad wife Violet; three daughters – Diane Green, Jeanette Robison and her husband James, Cassie Flemings and her husband George; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the family at Shiloh Baptist Church, 901 E. 5 ^th Ave, on Thursday, Aug 18, 2022, from 10 am to 12 pm, where a home going celebration will immediately follow, with Rev. Anthony Harris, M.Div. eulogizing. Interment will be at Erie Cemetery. Professional services are entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Ave, Erie, PA 16504.
