Carol Lynn (Mills) Smith, 62, of Aliquippa, PA was called to her Heavenly resting place with
the Lord and the love of her life, her only son, Marlyn J. Smith, on August 19, 2022. Carol was
born April 22, 1960, to the late Martha J. (Hollins) Mills and James C. Mills Sr.

Carol was a graduate of Aliquippa High School. She later earned a degree in Data Processing
from Southwest Community College and went on to work as an information systems supervisor
for the United States Navy at the Coronado Naval Base in San Diego, Ca. A kindhearted person,
Carol's heartwarming smile could only be matched by her beautiful voice. She loved to sing,
especially songs from her favorite artist, Chaka Khan. She also had a passion for fashion and
crochet, which were outlets for her creativity and uniqueness. Carol also enjoyed giving back to
the community. She was a volunteer at Tiger Paws and a bell ringer for the Salvation Army for
many years. Carol loved her family dearly and was the life of every party.

In addition to her parents and beloved son, Carol will be welcomed into Heaven by her brothers,
Wilber, Raymond, and John (Tweety) Mills; her sisters, Gloria Hodges, Gayle Hollins; her twin
sisters, Stephanie Mills and Sandra (Mills) Troutman; her dear, best friend, Arvella Reynolds, as
well as her grandparents and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Left to cherish Carol's memory are her brothers, Timothy (Hondo) Hollins, Keith Mills of
Georgia, James C. Mills Jr. of California; her devoted sister, Pamela (Mills) Simmons (Richard)
of Georgia; her special nephew, Evan Hollins of North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, and
cousins; and her aunts, Florine Abrams of Georgia and Leonna Hickenbottom of Alabama whom
she talked with daily. Carol also leaves to cherish her memory her companion of many years,
John Tirpak.

A private viewing for the family was held on August 22, 2022. A memorial for Carol will be
announced later in which Carol will be laid to rest with her parents at Woodlawn Cemetery in
Aliquippa, PA.
