Carrollton Dawson, 81, of Aliquippa moved from this laborious life to her reward on April 29, 2026.

She was born September 23, 1944 to the late Benza Mae Nash, then later enveloped in love by her father, Edward Glenn.

She was a longtime resident of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania and a graduate of Aliquippa High School. She found purpose and took pride in loving her family, serving God and others across her lifetime which was exemplified in her dedication to Deaconness Ministry of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, even long after her health became a barrier to being physically present.

Carol was preceded to glory by the absolute love of her life, Rev. Philip J. Dawson, Sr., her parents, maternal uncle (James Ivory), her parents in-law (Edward L. and Margaret Dawson), and sisters-in-law (Gloria Vaughn and Thelma Dawson).

She leaves to continue her legacy son, Edward (Pamela) Dawson, Sr. and daughter Courtney (Kenny) Rainey, and bonus son Philip III.

6 grandchildren whom she loved fiercely, Edward (EJ), Isaiah, Kenson, Philip III, Blake and Candace.

Sister-in-love, Cheryl Williams (Deac. Anthony Whitted), cousins, Grace Carter, Greg and Dwight Penson.

Nieces: Ramona Bell, Gloria Dawson and Tiarra Smith, Merita (Todd) Zarack, Kristen Dawson and Lakeisha (Shawn) Horne

Nephews: Theodore (Nichole) Vaughn Jr., Morris (Joanne) Vaughn, and Rance Vaughn and a host of great nieces and nephews.

Beloved family and friends: Anson (Ravine) Park (adopted son), God-children Steven and Shelton Colbert and Shanell Henry, welcomed additions to her family Kennedy and Kenneth Rainey III, Sis. Betty Huguley, Loretta Durham, Gloria McFarland, Margie Walker, Donna Adams, Merryann Simmons, Monique Dawson and Linda Harris, her "Bougie Babies", Jovita Smith and family, The Modern Club of Aliquippa and her special Bethel Bible Study friends.

Carol was a devoted and cherished mother, a source of unconditional love to all who knew her. She was known for her kindness, strength and warmth she brought to every relationship and she showed God's love to everyone she met. Her family was the center of her world and she gave endlessly of herself to ensure those that she loved felt safe and cared for.
