Cartrell Tate, 48, of Pittsburgh, PA passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022.

He was born on May 7, 1973 in Erie, PA to the late Eddielynn Knight Johnson and Alphonso Tate.

He was employed by the Wounded Warrior Project and PPG Arena.

Cartrell enjoyed video games, music and movies.  Most of all, he had a passion for history, cooking, the Dallas Cowboys as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 29 years; Felicia Tate, children; Terrance Cartrell Jr, Regina, Aliayah, Sharrell, and Randell Tate, his siblings; Sophia, Alphonso (Dinky), Clifton, Lanita, Rozaria, Arsenio, Alphonso (Dupree), Tralinia, TyShawn, Billie, Alphonso, Tone, Keith and Ronald, 9 grandchildren; Mya, Aniyah, Akillyon, Joshua, Lincoln, Na'Kiyah, Leisa, Ka'Leiyah and Ari, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends my visit with the family at First Good Samaritan AME Zion Church, 3209 Pennsylvania Ave, on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 10 am – 12 pm, where a home going celebration will immediately follow, with Pastor Alonzo Smith eulogizing.
