Charles E. Chandler, 46, of Erie, PA was granted his wings on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, after a long battle with cancer. No matter how tired he was, he was always determined and kept the faith. His final days were spent surrounded by his family who loved him deeply.

Charles was baptized at Second Baptist Church at a very young age and attended Vocational Bible School.

He attended Tri-Angle Tech and majored in Electrical. His career consisted of Industrial Manufacturing.

Charles loved fishing, playing chess, and being outdoors. He loved the Indiapolis Colts and couldn't wait until the football season started! He devoted all of his time and energy into his two small children. He always put his family first and was there for them whenever they needed him! Charles loved his mother very much and was a wonderful brother!

He leaves to cherish his memory, four loving children, Charles DeSantis Chandler Jr., Phillip Chandler, Noah Chandler, and Ava Chandler; mother, Selestine Davis (Gary); father, Robert Y. Chandler Sr., (Sadie); three sisters, Yolonda Bowers, Tyesia Chandler, and Cassandra Sanders; four brothers Marcus Davis, Shawn Lambert, Robert Y. Chandler Jr., Shawn Chandler Sr. (Darlene),  and George Sanders. A very special cousin and dear friend Teron Davis. A grandmother, Celestine Davis. A host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his brother Benjamin Davis, Amanda Ellison (Noah and Ava's mother), Aunt Martina Jones, Aunt Minnen Edward Davis, Aunt Rebecca Davis Heidelberg, Uncle Edward Davis,Great Grandmother Rosella Jones Bell, and Grandfather Charles Louis Davis.

Friends may visit Pitts Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Avenue, Erie, PA 16504 on Monday, October 6, 2020 from 2pm to 4pm. Pastor Roger Ratcliff of Abundant Life Church of Erie will be eulogizing. Professional Services are entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home.
