Charlie (Cool Lip) Johnson Jr. Obituary

Charlie Johnson Jr of Aliquippa, PA, the Son of Bernice and Charlie Johnson, was born on November 18, 1950, at Cleveland Hospital, Cleveland OH.   He transitioned from earth to glory at UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh PA after a brief illness on May 17, 2023.

Charlie attended Aliquippa High School. He was employed at J&L Steel Plant, Aliquippa, PA for many years until his retirement and was a valued member of the United Steel Workers of America.  In addition, he was the President of the Black Lords Motorcycle Club.

Charlie was a pillar of the community known and loved by many.  He was a kind and generous man. He was a family man with great love for his wife and children.

His favorite pastimes involved motorcycle riding, music, he was a big sports fan, loved the Aliquippa Quips and Pittsburgh Steelers, enjoyed eating good food and playing Chess.

Charlie was preceded in death by his wife Delores Johnson, Mother: Bernice Johnson, Father: Charlie Johnson, Brother: Melvin (Jay Boy) Johnson, Sisters: Charlene Johnson and Denise Johnson. Stepdaughter: LaRon Flint, Grandson: Paul Wekel.

Missing and cherishing him with fond memories are his brothers: Cornelius Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Andrew Johnson and Charles Pope.  Children: Annette Hines, Charlie Hines-Charlotte, NC and Toni Hines-Aliquippa, PA.  Stepchildren: Latonia (James) Moore, Seattle WA, Lorie Tyson, Tacoma, WA. Special friends: Cayden (Quacky) Townsend, Von Kittrell and Charlene Hines Johnson.

His Grand and Great Grand Children who he loved unconditionally.  And a host of grand nieces and nephews.
