Crystal Michelle Smith

July 28, 1977 – July 11, 2022

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a  crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me in that day…" (II timothy 4:7-8a)

Crystal Michelle Smith, 44, of Augusta, Georgia transitioned from this life on Monday July 11, 2022 at Allegheny Health (AHN) Pittsburgh, PA following an extended illness. She fought the good fight of faith until the Lord called her home. She was born on July 28, 1977 in  Erie, PA to the late Dwight A. Smith Sr. and Gloria J. Harper-Smith.

Crystal received her formal education in the School District of the city of Erie and  received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Mercyhurst University. She  began her professional career in the Behavioral Health Field in Erie. She was a member of Bread of Heaven Tabernacle of Praise and a former member of the Greater Calvary Full Gospel Baptist Church prior to starting her new season of life in Augusta, Georgia in 2016. One of her  greatest joys was teaching in the Richmond County School District of Augusta. She was also  employed as an Administrative Assistance with the Department of Juvenile Justice in Augusta,  until the start of the COVID Pandemic.

Crystal was very energetic with a big personality that could not be contained. She loved  to laugh and have fun with her family and friends. You were never a stranger once you crossed  paths with her. She was very stylish and took pride in her makeup and hair. She enjoyed making  people laugh with her TikTok videos. You could find her at home binge watching movies or  listening to music. She loved using her God given talents in arts and crafting, and dancing which  she excelled in. When she committed her life back to the Lord she spent much of her time enjoying Bible challenges. She wanted to leave a legacy of love, honesty and commitment to  God for her children and granddaughter.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Christine and Molet Johnson Sr. and paternal grandparents Jacqueline R. and Joe Nathan Smith  Sr.; a sister Natasha Smith and two brothers Calvin Harper and Jarred Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Nigeria Robison; a son, Luis (Donny)  Deleon Jr.; granddaughter Niyelli (Tootie) Robison; two sisters CeAnya Jones (Houston, TX)

Jacqueline Brown (Gary); two brothers Dwight Smith Jr. (Isela) and Germal Smith, all of Erie  and her best friend, Meagan Caldwell (Augusta, GA) , a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Second Baptist Church,  757 East 26th Street from 9 am-11 am, with the Home-going Celebration immediately following the visitation. Bishop Climatee Roberts is the eulogist. Interment will be at Erie Cemetery.  Professional services are entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Avenue, Erie, PA 16504
