Danae Taylor Woods was born May 16, 1997, to Dawn Lansberry and Willie Sawyer Jr. in Sewickley, Pa. She departed this life on Monday, June 24, 2019, in Allegheny General Hospital.
Danae was adopted and reared by her paternal aunts, Dianne Woods (whom she called "Mom") and Estrelita Taylor, ("Aunt Lita").
Danae attended school in the Sto-Rox School District and graduated from Erie High School. She worked for a short time at McDonald's Restaurant in Bellevue.
She was a member of Miracle COGIC in Aliquippa, now known as Greater Miracle Ministries where she was an usher and a worker in Children's Church. She loved helping the Mothers of the church getting in and out of their cars. You would often find her waiting outside the church for them to arrive. Danae loved dancing, movies and music, Mary Mary being one of her favorites.
Danae was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Donald and Deanna Lansberry and an uncle, Randy Bucek.
She leaves to cherish her memory Aunt Estrelita Taylor and Aunt Dianne Woods; paternal siblings, Aushoquie, Debra, Willena, Meme, Monique, Tashawna, Janae, and Melyah Sawyer, Willie Sawyer III and Jasmine Wallace; maternal siblings, Emmanuel Lansberry, Kayla Hanner, Rebbecca Kirkland, Jamar Harvey and Cazmere Collins; sisters and brother, Tiffany M. Taylor, Victoria, Dana and Donell Dais; biological parents, Dawn Lansberry and Willie Sawyer Jr. and his wife, Jennifer; paternal grandparents, Willie and Esther Sawyer; a very special friend she called "Aunt Bernita"; mentor, Rachel Armstead also a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
