Delores Emerson, affectionately called Lois by family and friends, entered Heaven on June 19, 2019. She was born on Monday, November 3, 1924 to her late parents Leola and Eddie Peake in Union, South Carolina.
Mrs. Emerson accepted Jesus Christ at the early age of eight and became a member of the St. Luke Baptist Church in Union, South Carolina.
As a teenager, Delores met her soul mate William Emerson, Jr., they were united in holy matrimony on February 13, 1945 in Union, South Carolina. This love affair lasted for 50 years before he was called to Glory on March 26, 1997. Bill & Dee relocated to Aliquippa in 1949 and decided to join Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the Pastorage of Reverend Keaton in 1952.
Mrs. Emerson was employed by the Aliquippa School District from 1972-2010 in various positions. A dedicated Quip fan, Mrs. Emerson followed and supported the Quips in all athletic events.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Emerson, Jr. and her son James Douglas Emerson, Son-in-law Daryl Cobb, Sister-in-law Beulah Peake . Mrs. Emerson is survived by her 7 children, Peggy Emerson-Cobb; Gloria Emerson-Witt; Deborah Emerson; Sancerae Bennett (Robert); Angela Emerson; Marguerite Emerson and Marvin Emerson. 5 siblings: Roscoe Peak; Helen Carter (Howard); Ruby Henderson (Frank); James Peake (Mary) and George Peake. 18 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
