Obituary

BROOKLYN, NY - Delores Forbes Cooper 'Dollie', 93, Brooklyn, NY peacefully transitioned out of time into the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 2, 2022.


Born June 27, 1928, in  Aliquippa, PA to the late George and Rosa (Denson) Forbes, their last surviving child. She graduated from Aliquippa High School and moved to New York at an early age where she resided for the rest of her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Pauline Forbes, Cecelia 'Phyllis' Pitts, June Berry, Georgia 'Bernice' Thomas, Katherine 'Kat' McCoy, George 'Tommy' Forbes, and William 'Billy' Forbes.

Remaining here to cherish her memory are a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Friends will be received Friday April 15, 2022 from 10 to 11am at the Pitts Funeral Home, 920 Franklin Avenue. A memorial service will follow immediately after at 11am. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Monaca. She will be laid to rest with her mother who ushered her into this
world and greeted her in eternity.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her guardian, Gwendolyn Coyle, and to the loving staff at Midway Nursing Home (Queens, NY) for the ministry and care provided to our aunt during her final days here on earth.
