Dimitrius James Henry Mims (Sho Chips), 40, of Erie, PA, passed away on Feb 27, 2022. He was born on Dec 31, 1981 to Edwin Parker, Sr. and the late Cynthia Louise Mims in Erie, PA.

Dimitrius attended Central High School.  He worked at Burnside Store and DaAlley Restaurant

He enjoyed making music, fishing, telling jokes and riddles, saying his words backwards, making people laugh, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his sister – Lanisha (momma) Mims; maternal grandparents – Horace and Carrie Mims, Sr.; paternal grandfather – Edward Parker, Sr.; aunts - Barbara (Elman) Mims and Mary Mims; uncle -  James Mims, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife - Savannah Mims; father Edwin Parker, Sr.; children – Damarshan'na, Diraiah, Chasity Mims, Alandis (Mims) Gilmore, Demarion, Edward, and Jaydin (Woodson) Mims; siblings – Kateema. Latisa, Nikisha (Rand) Petty, Shannae Mims, Tyrone and Isiah Mims, Nikeya Mills (Karlton), and Edwin Parker, Jr; cousin/brothers – Elliot Gales, Eddie, Treymane Dixon, and Catriel Lucas; grandchildren – Jenesis Mims (Houston), and Alandis (Mims) Gilmore; a profound connection cousins both ways Nick Parker Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the family at Second Baptist Church, 757 E. 26 ^th Street, on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, where a home going celebration will immediately follow, with Pastor Lamont Higginbottom eulogizing. Interment will be at Erie Cemetery. Professional services are entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Ave, Erie, PA 16504.
