Dorethea Taft., 80, of Columbus, OH, formally of Aliquippa, PA passed away on Monday, March 10th 2025. Dorethea was born on March 4th, 1945 in Rockingham, NC to Fannie B. Mcmillian.

Dorethea was preceded in death by her mother Fannie B. Mcmillian. and husband Lenzer (William) Taft, a son Derrick Council Sr., a granddaughter Kativa Council. A sister Donnie Littles Cleveland OH, And several other siblings all of Durham NC.

Dorethea leaves to cherish her memory, Two sons, James Council SR (Melody) of Aliquippa PA and Malcolm Green of Columbus OH. Five Grandsons, Anton Lindsey of Monaca PA, Derrick Council Jr.,Marques Council and Malleck Council all of Aliquippa PA. and James Council Jr. Columbus OH. And granddaughters Jeanika Council of Aliquippa PA. Demonica Council Durham NC, devoted nieces April Mcmillian of Columbus OH and Danita Mcmillian of Durham NC and devoted nephew Tommy Mcmillian of Columbus OH. And a devoted Goddaughter Patty Morrow of Cleveland OH, And several brothers and sisters all of Durham NC, and many special friends in Aliquippa PA.

She was always the life of the party with her funny sense of humor and bright personality. Her favorite pastime was cooking wonderful meals for her family and friends. Anyone who ever visited her home was never made to feel like a stranger and always left well rested and full. Dorethea delighted in every occasion spent with loved ones, especially her trips to Durham NC to visit her family and friends.
