Eduardo "FLACO" Ortiz-Soto, 52, of Erie, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. He was born on January 22, 1974 in Cuomo, Puerto Rico to the late Migdalia Soto and Eduardo Ortiz.

Flaco found peace and joy in the simple moments in life, spending his days homesteading with his chickens and roosters, walking his dogs, or gardening in the yard. He was an extreme gun enthusiast and enjoyed the craftsmanship of the firearms and collecting them. Flaco lived a life defined by his devotion to family, his resourcefulness, and a spirit that left the lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his older brother Gerardo Ortiz- Soto and good friend and mother of his son, Allison "Mimi" Velez of Buffalo, NY.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his three sons, Eduardo jr, Luis, and Valentin, five daughters Kamaris, Kianaliz, Yamila, Yanisa, and Jazmyra, and wife, Kiara Ortiz-Soto, Brother, Oscar, Sisters Judith and Marilyn and 4 sister in laws Tamica, Natashia, Carmen, and Yesenia as well as a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

Kiara and Flaco having an extensive 16 year love story filled with ups and downs, and will always be remembered for their Bonnie and Clyde lifestyle and tenacity to get things done by any means necessary. Flaco made sure he provided and protected his family at any cost and those are the moments that will never be forgotten. True love never ends…

Friends may visit with the family at Pitts funeral home, 2926 Pine Ave., on Saturday, July 18, 2026 with the viewing from 2:30 PM to 4 PM followed by an immediate service eulogized by Pastor Sonny Concepcion.
