Edward William Taylor (Wicks), 71, of Aliquippa, PA transitioned from this life on, June 2, 2025. Ed was born on December 2, 1953. He was the second son of Frank and Ida Abercrombie. He was a 1973 graduate of Aliquippa High School where he excelled in football, basketball, baseball, and track. Ed went on to pursue football at the University of New Mexico, and then on to Modesto State College and set unparalleled records in Track and field.  Edward received multiple awards and trophies for his outstanding athletic performances. In addition to his phenomenal display of excellence on any field, or court, Wicks perfected body building in his latter forties, and was named Mr. Pittsburgh. Littles was a natural athlete, and he was exciting to watch as he amazed his audience each time he applied his skills and mindset to his athletic pursuits. His qualities like leadership and teamwork translated to his successful work with young athletes. He loved coaching young athletes, as he modeled dedication and hard work for them. Ed touched many generations of kids, and adults in Aliquippa, and abroad. Edward loved people, he lived, loved, and laughed with so many and will be missed by all of us who love him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters: Mercedes Johnson, and Traci Jones, two brothers: Rodney Abercrombie, and Duane Abercrombie,and one sister Theresa Giles.

Ed leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, and three daughters: Edward Taylor jr.  Frank Taylor,both of Modesto California, Ednessa Nicole Wilson, Phoenix City, Alabama, Angel Taylor Modesto California, and Ashlee Taylor Greensburg Pa.  A brother Stanley Taylor, Erie Pa, Sister In-Law Patricia Abercrombie(Duane), Ambridge Pa, Sister In-Law Tamika Abercrombie(Rodney), Aliquippa Pa,  brother DeAndre and Larita Abercrombie Detroit Michigan, brother, Raphael and Lisa Abercrombie Ambridge Pa, brother Frank Abercrombie, Washington DC, sister Sarene Foskey Hampton Georgia.
