Harry Michael "Bubba" Kirkland, Jr., 67 of Pittsburgh, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2024.

Born October 27, 1956, in Miami, FL, he was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee Kirkland, maternal grandparents Levie Harrison and Ida Bell Long; paternal grandparents Toog Evans and Betsy Kirkland; four brothers, James Edward, John Edward, Kevin and Derek, his father and mother-in love, Manuel and Elsie Berry; brother- in love, David Benjamin; sister-in-love, Linda Duckett and son, Marcus Favers.

He learned to play the guitar at an early age in life and became a professional guitar player playing with well-known groups and artists.  One of his favorite artists was BB King who taught him the trade of the music business and gave him pointers of what to do and what not to do.  He performed with several top celebrities and at the churches of Shirley Caesar, Tramaine Hawkins, Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, Bishop Rance Allen, Bishop Marvin Winans, just to name a few. He was the lead guitarist for the Trumpets of Joy of Aliquippa, a guitarist for the Mighty Golden Wonders of Ohio, and he played for the GMWA Pittsburgh Chapter.

He was ordained as a minister under the leadership of Bishop Jerry McCollough of Faith Temple Apostolic Ministry, Rochester, NY, where he resided for 10 years. After moving back to PA, he was ordained as an Elder of the Church in the Round Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop Melvin E. Clark; he later was appointed as the Assistant Pastor for the late Elder Manuel Berry of Damascus Church of God in Christ and later was ordained as a pastor of his own church "His Touch Apostolic Ministries, ordained by Bishop Patrick Thomas, Dominion Fellowship Apostolic Alliance, Toledo Ohio.

He graduated from Midland High School in 1974.  He received training as a commercial truck driver traveling from state to state while residing in Rochester New York.  He later became a State Deputy Constable for the State of Pennsylvania working for District Magistrate Randi Martini. He also worked as a security officer/guard for several companies in the Pittsburgh area. His last place of employment was at W.L. Roenigk Inc.  bus company as a school bus driver.

He leaves to cherish his memory his lovely wife, Judith Kirkland; father, Harry Michael, Sr.; brothers, Rick (Rhondi), and Levie (Tonya), sisters, Harriett, Tami, and Machelle, sister-in-loves, Cassandra & Christina, brother-in love, Gregory (Cobren) Brown and Harry (Harriet) Benjamin, a daughter, Marlo Owens, Rochester, NY, granddaughters, Raynell, Tamia, Brooklyn, and his spiritual momma-momma, Clara Reed, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
