ERASLEY "Stone" LINDSEY, SR

Erasley "Stone" Lindsey, Sr., 74 of Aliquippa, PA went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 9, 2023.

Born October 28, 1948 in Union, SC to the late James and Helen (Hughes) Lindsey.  Dewey attended and graduated from Aliquippa High School, Class of l968.  At a young age, Dewey and his brothers learned to cut hair from their father.  Dewey took what he learned, mastered it, and then taught others.  He was a lover of art, and because of that love he taught himself how to paint in various forms, but his favorite was oil.  His art can be viewed in the homes of several family members.  Later in life, he taught himself how to fix cars and became a mechanic for almost 40 years.

Dewey, as he was affectionately called, was preceded in death by both of his parents, his sister Helen (Pat) Powell, nephew James (Poogie) Lindsey and niece Tashawna Lindsey.

In October of 1968,  he married his high-school sweetheart Cheryl Howard and from that union was born Theresa (Barrington) Lindsey-Dunn, Erasley "Dewey" Lindsey, Jr.  In October of 1980, he married Twila Thornton and from that union of 31 years, was born Twila Lindsey, Brittany Lindsey, and Justin (Ashley) Lindsey.  In October of 2012, he married Anna Strickland, whom he affectionately called "Anna Mae".  Leaving to grieve are his sisters Joan Abercrombie and Vanessa (Lawrence) Walker, brothers James (Margaret) Lindsey, Kennieth Lindsey and Harold Gene Lindsey.  Also left to grieve his passing are his 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and close friends.

There will be a public viewing Saturday, January 14 ^th from 11 am – 12 pm.  Service will immediately follow.
