Eric James "E. Free" Freeman, born August 2, 1973 in Erie, Pa to the late Darlene Freeman and James L. Jones, was met by his parents in his heavenly home on February 27, 2022.

Eric graduated from Strong Vincent High School and later attended college in Philadelphia.

Our Dad was our superhero. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and feeding anybody who crossed his path, he never met a stranger. "E. Free" was the life of the party and loved to get fly, especially in his Dallas Cowboy gear. Above all else, his greatest accomplishment was the family that he built. The time he spent and the things he instilled in us can never be replaced. He always said what he meant and meant what he said.

Besides his parents, awaiting him on the other side are his maternal grandfathers Robert Freeman and Glen; Paternal Grandmother Elizabeth Jones, and Mother and Father-in-law Linda and Dennis Wheeler.

Left to carry of E. Free's legacy are his wife and life partner of 35 years Sherry Allen; five sons; Derrick (Rahjenique) Allen Sr., Donte Allen, Shaquille Atkinson, Aaron Jordan, and Damareo Freeman all of Erie; seven daughters, Derrycka Freeman, Donte'shya Freeman, Araja Robinson, Akira Robinson, Annika Freeman, Damarea Freeman, and Derryanna Freeman all of Erie; a stepson, Amir Robinson, three brothers; Adrian (Valarria) Freeman of Erie, Darnell Jones of NJ, and Cedric Jones of Maryland, two sisters; Saretha (Gerald) Pinkston and Deetra (Qua) McDaniels; maternal grandmother, Maxine Brothers of Rochester N.Y., 17 grandchildren; special aunts Carrie "Betty" Knight and Charlene Freeman; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Friends may visit with the family on at Greater Calvary Full Gospel Baptist Church, 2624 German St, Erie, Pa 16503 on Friday March 11, 2022, from 10am until 12pm, where a homegoing service will immediately follow.
