In Loving Memory of
Essie Mae Lyons

Essie M. Lyons, age 74 went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2023, at Millcreek Community Hospital.
She resided at Parkside at Glenwood for the past 11 years. Her son and her family were thankful and
grateful to Parkside of Glenwood and the Stairways ACT Team for their care and support.

She was born in Laurel, Mississippi on January 31, 1949 to the late Ora D. and Lillie Mae McCoy Lyons.

She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was a vibrant and outgoing person who loved to travel
and explore new living and life experiences. She had a zest for life and saw all that it had to offer. A
great enthusiast of the finer things and was always willing to gain understanding and knowledge of
different cultures. She was not held by what she couldn't do, thus making her a fearless person.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers Robert Sr, Jetson, George, Olee and
Llyod Lyons and Two Sisters Carolyn Lyons Smith and Johnie M. Atkinson-Faulkerson.

She Leaves to Cherish her memory her son - Sean. C. Lyons-Douglas M. Lyons, One Brother Billy Ray
Lyons and one Sister Grace E. Lyons-Horton along with many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and host of
other relatives. Not to be remiss the many friends she has met in her travels and her to closest friends
Carol Lee Tate, Annabelle Darby and Gloria Amos, which proceeded her in death.
