Esther V.  Scott Sawyer was born December 3, 1933  to the late Wille and Victoria Scott in Jacksonville, Florida. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday July 22, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver, Pa.

Esther was educated in the Florida Schools and later moved to Aliquippa, PA.

Esther was a Domestic Engineer, she loved to cook, take care of her family and the community. She was an avid bowler and loved to go to Gospel Plays.

Esther accepted Christ as her personal savior under the late Rev. Dr. David A. Armstead and joined Miracle COGIC, Aliquippa, now Greater Miracle Ministries, Ambridge. She was a member in good standing until the day God called her home. Mother Esther Sawyer served on the Mother's Board and even though illness prevented her attendance over the past few years she was faithful in support to her church and pastor, Rev. Dr. Laneer Fisher whom she loved dearly.,

In addition to her parents Mother Sawyer was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Lee Nelson; sons: Joseph Scott and Eric Nelson; daughter: Dianne Dais Woods; grand-daughter, Dana`e Woods; sisters: Mary Scott, Dianne Scott, and Pernese Burnell and brothers: Allen and James Scott.

Missing and cherishing her with fond memories  are her loving and devoted husband, of 40 years, Willie Lee Sawyer; daughter: Estrelita Taylor, son: Willie Sawyer Jr.; Fifteen grandchildren: Mellissa Scott, Tiffany Taylor, Victoria Dais, Dana Dais and Donnell (Ja`lisa) Dais, Aushoquie, Debra, Willena, Meme, Monique, Tashawna, Janae, and Melyah Sawyer, Willie Sawyer III and Jasmine Wallace; Sixteen great-grandchildren; Breshay Coley, Octavian Brown, and Analease Gray;` Jonathan King, Kenya Sawyer, Lejon and Syuri Frazier; Layla Taylor; Bryan, Allayah, Zane, Elliarah, D`Angelo, Ja`Nell, Daelynn and Danaya Dais; nephews: Frank and Jeffrey Burnell and William Scott of Jacksonville, Florida; and a host of other family members and friends  and special friend Linda Jones.
