Francis Tookes 90,
Formerly of Midland, PA passed September 3, 2021. She was born October 17, 1930 in Oglethorpe, GA to Willie Holton and Essie Lee (Bailey) Holton.

Frances was a faithful member of the Church of the Living God , Midland PA where she served as President of the Usher Board and head of the kitchen committee. She was also a member of daughter of Dorcas, and of the United Kitchen.

She worked at Sterling China in Wellsville, OH for several years. She enjoyed baking. Her egg pies were one of her signature specialties. There was always a fresh pound cake on her kitchen counter for someone to slice. Bowling and watching the Pirates was a pastime activity she enjoyed.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walter Tookes Sr.; two sisters, Essie Will Blissett & Irene Allen; and one brother, Frank Holton.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Wade Tookes (partner Denise) of New Brighton PA, Walter (Tina) Tookes Jr. of Midland PA; five daughters, Shirley (James) Parson of East Liverpool OH, Judy Cuspard of Grand Prairie TX, Debra (Conroy) Davis of West Monroe LA, Diane (Sam) Bullock of Aliquippa PA, and Patricia Tookes of Hopewell PA; One sister, Zera Mae (Charles) Davis of Phoenix City AL; one brother, Willie Holton of Monroeville PA; 19 grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren; and seventeen great great grandchildren; She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and long time friends Mattie Wright and Beatrice Hill.
