George Thomas "Tommy" "Uncle Tommy" Williams, 77, of Aliquippa, PA, formally of Philadelphia, PA., passed into his eternal home on Friday, March 7, 2025. Born September 10, 1947, he was the son of the late Buford "Bill and Gertrude Williams.

He was also preceded in death by his brother Billy "Bill" Williams and a niece Ronnette Norman.

Tommy was a graduate of Aliquippa High School, Class of l965, and a proud graduate of Cheyney State College, Class of l972. He paid his way through school by working in J&L Steelmill in the summers and eventually working on the janitorial staff at Cheyney. He loved history and geography, obtaining a BA in Social Science and later becoming certified in economics, which led him down the path of becoming a Junior/Senior Math teacher for many years at Martin Luther King School in Philadelphia before retiring in 2012.

He leaves to mourn his passing , two sisters Dorothy Atkins, Detroit, MI. and Vivian Barlow, Aliquippa, PA.; 2 nieces Nikkia Lester, Roxanne Barlow; 5 nephews Shawn Norman, James Atkins, Jr, Jason (Vanessa) Atkins, Jamaine Atkins, and Oscar Barlow, Jr.; 2 special great nephews Christian (Kayla) Norman and Elijah De'Voue. Several more great nieces and nephews, 5 cousins Larry Hill, Gertrude and Jessica Burrell, Lucille Daniels, LeTizia Nelstein and a host of special neighbors and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 10:00 am-11:00 am at Sound the Alarm Ministry, 1 Shekinah Way, Aliquippa, PA, with the service to follow at 11:00 AM. Services entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home, Antonio Pitts, Funeral Home Director/Owner.
