Gevod Tyrece Tyson, a bright light whose life was tragically cut short, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the age of 24 in Aliquippa. He was born on November 15, 2000, in Sewickley Valley Hospital, Sewickley, PA.

Gevod was a soul defined by a boundless spirit, an infectious love for family, and a relentless passion for helping others. He truly understood the importance of community and actively worked to make the world a better place.

A Legacy of Love and Action
Gevod poured his heart into his community through dedicated service:
• He was the energetic announcer for the Aliquippa Lil Quips Football Organization.
• He loved mentoring young girls as the coach of the Lil Lady Quips basketball team.
• He founded the It's Ah Family Podcast and was a powerful Stop the Violence activist, turning his care for others into real action.
• Gevod's work life included employment at the Brewer Airport Toyota Dealership in Moon Township.
He grew up attending The Church In The Round, where he participated in Sunday school, the Sunshine Band, YPWW, and Junior Levite. He was a proud graduate of the Aliquippa High School Class of 2019.

The Heart of the Family                                                                                                                                                                                              More than anything, Gevod's greatest joy was his family. He leaves behind his precious daughters, Gianni Tyson and Londyn Hill, who will always carry his love.

He is survived by his loving parents: Tamara Tyson, Gerode Carry, and David G. Hall. His memory will live on through his grandparents, Willie Clyde, Roger Williams, Janice and Harold Cain Jr., and his siblings: Geriah and Eyris Tyson, Davion, David D., Damari and DaCari Hall, Tarhea, Gerode Jr. and Justin Carry, Cameron McDonald, Jawaun Witt, Jade Raines, and Kaidence Norman.

He was blessed with a supportive extended family, including his Aunts and Uncles: Harold (Michelle) III, Darold (Crystal), Jarrold (Sarah) Cain, Tiana Clark , Karen ( Lewis) Hill-Etchison, Meena Ingram-Hill, Tammy & Meleik (Ahna) Carry, Carliss Jeter, Desmond Soanes, Tania and Jenece Dixon, Frances Wright, Willie Jordan, Brian Barbee and Kelvin Jordan. God sisters: Leola Nickols, Anauja Lockett, Aniejã Thomas, Ja'Meya Moon, Trenity Arrington , Jai'Ahna Lawson, Payton Pope and Bellã Arrington.

Gevod was welcomed home by his grandparents, Paula Carry, Mary and Johnnie Hill Sr., and his beloved aunt and uncle, TaNetta Tyson-Williams and Louis Bailey, and best friend Curtis Flowers III.

He also leaves behind a host of devoted cousins, family, and lifelong friends, including Jasmine, Brandon ( Izea ) and Brittney Carter, Honesty Soanes, Sterling Moreland, Que Smith, Elijah Ford, Jashaun Lindsay, Glen Haskins, Izayah King, Javon Lewis, Tavion McIntyre, Kiyon Fooks, Dewayne Revis, Tajier Thornton, Vaughn Morris, Ty Crocker, Karl McBride, Richard Banks, Jr. Avante McKenzie, Aniya Ellis, Izere Johnson, and the class of 2k19.

A Light That Will Endure
Gevod will be forever remembered for his distinct humor, genuine kindness, and unwavering strength. Though his time with us ended too soon, his love, laughter, and legacy will shine on in the hearts of those who knew him. Those who loved him will carry his memory as a constant reminder of the incredible light he brought into this world.
