Gladys Mae Tolbert Gray 89, passed away on March 9, 2020 at Pleasant Ridge Manor. Gladys was born on November 13, 1930 in Millen, GA to the late Hoarce Sr. and Ethel Tolbert.

Gladys is formerly a Statesboro, GA native where she lived most of her life until later relocating to Erie, PA in 2006 to be closer to her family. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses at the Pine View Kingdom Hall where she had participated in field service before she became ill. She enjoyed reading GODS WORD the Bible and mainly just spending time with her family whom always put a big smile on her face every time she was in their presence. Gladys was always a homemaker so she never had to work.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Hoarce Tolbert Jr.; two sons Douglas and Edward Gray; a Great-Great grandson Desmon Roberts Jr. and a Son in-law Darrell Appling Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 70 years I.W. (Double) Gray. A daughter Mattie Appling. Seven Grandchildren Suprena Gray Hawkins (Roosevelt), Freddie Jr and Radell Gregory (Kim), Juanita Gregory all of Erie, Pa; Crystal Moore, Latoya and Angela Gray of Statesboro, GA. Thirty Great-grandchildren and Eighteen Great-Great Grandchildren. A special Son in-law Freddie Gregory Sr. and Daughter in-law Gracie Gray also of Erie, Pa. A host of family and friends
