In Loving Memory of an Erie Legend! Horace Harold Gregory, who peacefully transitioned from this earth on September 16, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Horace was born on March 21, 1948 to the late Robert C "Pee Wee" Gregory Sr. and Mattie Ethel "Help" Jordan Gregory in Bells, TN where he grew up, until the family relocated to Erie, PA in 1959.

He was employed with Independent Iron Metal moving on to Continental Rubber where he retired.

Horace was well known in the community. He often showcased his many of talents and skills. While in Job Corps he took an interest in weight lifting, where he was able to challenge himself at picking up trucks, moving, lifting and jumping over cars. He also had a love for his muscle cars, some of the flyest around town. Horace also became a Light Weight golden glove boxer champion in 1974 while training under the late great Mr. Gene Toran. He was once one of the sharpest dice shooters around town and often referred to as OG. He loved spending time with his family and friends where he would entertain them in singing, dancing and telling many of his great stories and good works. Anyone whom has had the pleasure of his presence and getting to know him often built a special bond. He was loving and kind hearted. He was a gentle giant and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Alonzo "junior" Gregory; two sisters Geraldine Gregory Pulliam and Maryann Gregory Thomas; one niece Barbara Jean Pulliam Darby; three Great nephews and two great-great nephews.

He leaves to cherish his wife of 51 years, Denise Hobson Gregory whom he had the pleasure of marrying on June 30, 1973. Two daughters  - Tunisia Gregory- Atkinson (Phillip) of Atlanta, Ga, Nakila McKee of Birmingham, AL; two sons -  Justin Jones of Buffalo, NY and Michael D. Gray of Erie, PA one stepson Monteko Gregory, and two stepdaughters - Sanya Gambill Blanks (Anthony) and Shayla Gregory all of Erie, PA; twelve grandchildren, one great granddaughter and four step grandchildren.

Horace is also survived by One Aunt Freddie Mae Jordan-Martin. One sister Gracie Gregory Gray, four brothers Freddie Lee Gregory Sr., Robert C. Gregory Jr., Floyd Gregory Sr. and Benjamin Gregory. Three special nieces Zadie, Juanita Gregory and Lisa Mills all of Erie, PA and brother in law Eddie Lee "Fish" Thomas.

Family will like to send a special acknowledgement to Valarie Kish Bierbow his caseworker, Shakira Gambill and Stairways for their moral support.
