Imogene Lorraine (Duncan)Patterson, Aliquippa, After a brief illness, Imogene Lorraine Patterson was granted her heavenly wings on January 25, 2019

Born December 28, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Duncan. A graduate of Aliquippa High School, class of 1970, she accepted a position with the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C. Returning to Pennsylvania, she took a job with Veterans Hospital in the speech pathology department.

Then, starting the next chapter of her journey, she married the late Willie James Patterson, and to that union they were blessed with two children, a daughter, the late Janita Chantelle Patterson and a son, Cortney James Patterson. While raising her children, she enrolled in school and obtained her Cosmetology license to become a stylist. Imogene returned to the workforce as a secretary for the Aliquippa School District for a lengthy time and was also an office administrator for Pitts Funeral Home, before retiring.

Imogene was a member of the Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church, where she helped with various secretarial duties. She later joined New Holy Temple where she held several key positions. Imogene loved to shop, cook and was a faithful church woman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Patterson, and a daughter, Janita Patterson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Cortney James Patterson; two grandchildren, AuVe'once Precious Jean Patterson and Ronald Steven Bouler II; her daughter's fiancé, Ronald Steven Bouler; a sister, Karen Duncan; devoted and childhood friends, Dorothy Smith, Deloris Cooper, Phyllis Martin and a host of relatives and friends.
