Isaiah Lemuel Bowman, 76, of Aliquippa, PA, passed away unexpectedly on July 11, 2026. He leaves a legacy of quiet generosity, service, and deep love for his family.

He was born on June 8, 1950, in Asheville, NC, and was the son of the late Rev. John L. Bowman and Anna Kitching Bowman. Isaiah was a graduate of Asheville High School, class of 1968. Following graduation, he served honorably in the U.S. Army, completing overseas tours in Germany and South Korea, as well as stateside assignments at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and Fort Hood, Texas. Following his military retirement, he worked as a general laborer. Guided by his Islamic values, he was a gentle, humble man who quietly and selflessly helped anyone in need. He truly appreciated life's simple pleasures, which included his deep love for pets, walking, cycling, fishing, weekly YMCA trips, and especially beach trips with his daughter and grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. John L. Bowman & Anna Kitching Bowman, his brother, John Bowman Jr.; and his former wife, Young Cha Lee Bowman, the mother of his daughter.

Isaiah's memory will be cherished by his daughter, Resheeda Bowman (Fiancé, Joseph Dorsey) of Massachusetts; his grandsons, Justin Carry and Jayce Dorsey; his sister, Mother Lorraine Jones (David) of Aliquippa, PA; his brothers, Abdul H. Kalam (Brenda) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Samuel E. Bowman of Asheville, North Carolina; a devoted nephew, Kevin D. Jones of Aliquippa, PA; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
