Jaclyn Tenae' Martin, age 42, affectionately known by family as Tenae', passed through glory's morning gate and walked into her heavenly home on May 14, 2024 at Heritage Valley Beaver, Beaver, PA.

Tenae' was born to Phyllis D. Martin and Jackie Royal on December 7, 1981 at Heritage Valley Sewickley Hospital (formerly known as Sewickley Valley Hospital) Sewickley, PA.

Tenae' was preceded in death by her older sister, Na'tia Joy Martin; her maternal grandparents, Mary Joy Boggs Martin and John B. Martin, Sr.; her paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John Henry Royal, Sr.; her maternal great aunt, Marlene Beverly; her maternal uncles, Allen S. Martin and Larry A. Martin, Sr.; her paternal uncles and aunts, John H. Royal, Jr., Billy F. Royal Sr., Willie John Hayes, Sandra Parham Royal, and Barbara Hayes; her maternal cousins, Jordan E. Martin and Travis J. Braxton; her bonus father, Kenneth L. Lundy; and her niece, Marley Rae Jones.

Tenae' attended Anthony Wayne Elementary and Ambridge Junior High, where she was a cheerleader. She attended Monaca Jr./Sr. High School, joining the girls' flag football team and graduating in 2000. After graduation, she furthered her education at Pittsburgh Technical Institute, graduating in 2001 with an Associate's Degree in Travel Tourism & Administration. She also received her certification from the Institute of Certified Travel Agents as a destination specialist in 2002, going on to achieve her wings as a flight attendant with Air Wisconsin in 2004. Tenae' was a flight attendant for several years, working for several airlines and enjoying new places.

Tenae' later attended Point Park University, majoring in Criminal Justice while working for the Beaver County Jail, the Gateway Rehabilitation DOC program at Sheffield Towers, and The Roots Program. Most recently, along with her father, Tenae' was the co-founder of a non-profit, "A New Way To Live," which assists with recovery from drug and alcohol addiction and remains operating in the community.

Tenae' loved, adored and cherished her two daughters dearly. She was proud to be a mom and protected her children with her life. Tenae' was best known for living her life as a Queen: vibrant, bold and fearless. She loved online shopping and was the family fashionista, coordinating outfits for herself, her girls, and nieces and enjoyed interior decorating of her home.

Her hobbies were traveling, cooking, scratch-off tickets, and bingo nights with her mom and little sister "Shellbird". She will be remembered for the love of her family because she simply enjoyed family time with good food, games, music and dance. She also loved crime shows, and her favorite R&B group was Boyz II Men.

Tenae' always extended a helping hand to those in need, rising to any occasion to assist family and friends. She truly loved the Lord and gospel music. Before her illness, she enjoyed attending church and was very supportive of the youth in the United Praise Community Dance Team.

Tenae' leaves to cherish her loving memories: her life partner, Jason D. Smith; children, Na'Riya K. and Na'Tiya D. Martin; parents, Jackie Royal and Phyllis D. Martin; grandmother, Pauline M. Martin; sister, Rashell N. Lundy; nieces, Makayla (her first niece), Kaylee (Aunies), and Kehlani; bonus father, Jeffrey Carter; bonus sister and nieces, Ciara Tucker, and Sanaa, Malia, Royalty, and Alexis; paternal aunts and uncles: Robert (Sandra) Royal, Arlester (Lisa) Royal Sr., and Ruth Ann Royal Alexander; maternal aunts and uncles: Sharon (Michael) Braxton, Yvonne Barber, Myrtle Martin, Wanda Martin, Jerry M. (Loretta) Martin, John B. Martin Jr., and Kimberly R. Martin (MM); the parents and sister of Jason D. Smith: Joseph, Dorothy, and Jovita; cousins: Felicia Royal Raines, Kayla, Mike, and Mila (Nae's LaLa) Bobrowski, Shaquere and Zion McBride, Christina Gipson, and Shanea and Sharla Jeter; bonus aunt, Dawn Lee; godmothers: Karen Duncan and Diane Law; godbrother, Marquis Smith; goddaughters: Nyraiah Harris and Ric'khiya Dawkins; devoted friends: Deirdra Tigner, Crystal Brown, Tarhea Towler, Melony Smith, Karesse Johnson, Tamia Green, Taurean Williams, Tony Cameron, Danitra West, Pamela Gibbs, Monique Tucker, Kisha McCoy and a host of beloved cousins and friends.
