James L Dean Sr, 73 of Aliquippa, PA. Passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023

James was born on February 26, 1950 in Rome, Georgia to Lincoln Chapman and Cora Dean.

James, also known as Duke, graduated from Aliquippa High School, class of 1969.

James was an avid chess player. He loved the game. He also enjoyed cooking and telling jokes. He was a loving, caring man who loved his family and friends   He was often the life of the party. He will be missed

He was Proceeded in Death by his mother Cora Dean, his father Lincoln Chapman, and his wife, Joyce A (Jenkins) Dean.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, James L Dean Jr (Coraopolis), Jaron C and Justin D Dean (Aliquippa). His Daughter Emma and her husband Jermaine Ward (Cleveland). His sister Jessie Lay and niece Joel Rodgers Faulkner. Grandchildren Deja Goosby (Randy Wegley), Dorian Goosby, Destiny Quarles, Janasia Tigner, and Deshawn Colman. 4 great grandchildren, Julian, Se'maj, Caysen, and Selena. Great nieces, Cynthia Blaise, Yvette Sumlin, Shyrico and Reahna Rodgers, and Alexandria Singleton  and great nephews Rico Rodgers Jr, Mason Fisher, and Joseph Singleton. Very special cousins Freda Salmon, Linda Wilder, and Vida Bronaugh. Lifelong friends, Willie Simmons Sr, Ronnie Shegog, Ross Stewart, and Dwayne "Jake, Shooster" Anderson.  Good friends, Veronica Hauser and Stella Ford and a host of other family and friends.
