Jamie Maurice Tate, 40, of Erie, Pa passed away on Monday, July 18th, 2022. He was born on February 23, 1982 to Parents Margie A. Tate and William Ellis Jr. (Ruby).

Jamie loved working his 2 jobs and hanging out with his Best Friend (Hilton Ward). He was a sweet and gentle soul who dearly loved his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Maternal grandparents Mary B. Tate and Robert D. Tate, his Paternal grandparents William Ellis Sr. and Johnnie T Holston Ellis. Two brothers Anthony Tate and Maulano (Chuckle) Logan. Also an uncle Homer Tate and an aunt Kasandra Tate.

He leaves to cherish his memory, six brothers, Robert Tate, Stefon Lyons, Shawn Jones, Rashi Ellis, Richard and William (Logan). Three sisters, Tara Tate, Tamara Logan, and Tylena McCoy. His aunts and uncle who helped raise him Valerie, Jackie, Annie, Gloria, and Jessie (Tate). Three very close Nieces and a Nephew, Travis Williams Jr., TaViyah Williams, and JaZieria Williams who loved him deeply. A host of additional aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Friends may visit the family at New Life & Spirit Revival Center, 315 East 9th Street, on Saturday, July 30th, 2022, from 10 am to 12 pm, where a home going celebration will follow, with Pastor Vickie Jones eulogizing. Interment will be held at Erie Cemetary. Professional services are entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Avene, Erie, Pa, 16504.
