Janet Arlene Luton entered her earthly home on October 5, 1943, and peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on July 30, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Leslie "Demp" Luton and Frances Luton.

Janet began her education in kindergarten in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania, and continued through the Aliquippa School System. She later pursued her passion for creativity by attending Interior Decorating and Design School. Blessed with a remarkable eye for beauty and style, Janet transformed not only her own home into a place of warmth and elegance but also generously shared her decorating talents with family and friends, bringing joy wherever she went.

After completing her education, Janet met and married William Armstrong. From their union came the greatest joy of her life, their son, William Joseph Armstrong, affectionately known as "Billy Joe."

Throughout her life, Janet embraced a variety of careers with dedication and grace. She worked for the late Dr. Oliver King in Aliquippa before beginning a long career in the airline industry with Eastern Airlines and later US Airways. She also proudly served with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and was employed at Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, New York.

Janet was a lifelong member of First Church of God in Christ, known as "The Church in the Round." In 2007, she relocated to Oneida, New York, to be closer to her beloved son and family.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Frances Luton, and her sister, Marcia Luton Small, affectionately known as "Bitty."

She leaves behind a legacy of love and precious memories to be treasured by her devoted son, Bill (Laurie) Armstrong; her four beloved grandchildren, Jordan (Demetrius) Henry of Oneida, New York, Taylor Armstrong of Houston, Texas, Austin Armstrong of Oneida, New York, and Gianna Armstrong of Oneida, New York; and her two adored great-granddaughters, Sophia and Demi Henry, and her nephew, Damon (Michelle) Luton of Glenville, New York.

Along with many cousins, cherishing her forever is her "Big Sister/Cousin," Marlene Lee, whose bond with Janet was one of lifelong love and devotion. She also leaves behind her special friend, William

"Comby" Curenton, and many treasured friends from her years with US Airways, including Aimee Distanislao, whom Janet affectionately called her daughter, Georgie Korinak, and countless others she held dear.
