Jearlean Jells Rowry Parker

Jearlean Parker, 76, transitioned peacefully on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA.

She was born on August 13, 1947, in Clarksdale, MS to the late Othor Sr. and Annie B. Lewis-Jells.

Jearlean was baptized at an early age in Mississippi. She loved watching TV (Judge Judy and Jerry Springer), listening to the blues, playing cards and she loved her children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jimmy Rowry and Edward Parker; 2 children, Cedric Rowry (her infant son) and Derrick Rowry; 2 brothers, Othor Jells Jr. and Ernest Jells; and her sister, Ella Mary Ross Moore.

Jearlean leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Sharlada Rowry; 4 sons, Antonio, Nolan (Marcella), Kendall (Tina), and Frederick (Dorothy) Rowry; her step-children "The Parkers"; 3 sisters, Ocie Williams, Ludella (Charles) Woodard and Dora Jells-Mickel; her sister-in-law's, Sylvia Jells and Ruby Parker-Carr; 21 grandchildren, Preasha, Shaderia, Erica, Derrick Jr., Deonte, Khalil, Nolan, Latreece, Jamere, Jasmine, Javon, Justin, Qunisha, Antoinette, Tamica, Jonah, Charles, Kyra, Shervonda, Frederick Jr., and Tyree; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may visit with the family at Pitts Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Avenue, on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 11 am to 12pm, where funeral services will immediately follow, with Bishop Climatee Roberts eulogizing.
