Jerry "Midnight" Wilson, 65, of Erie, PA, departed this life on Monday, February 11, 2019. He was born in Erie, PA on November 3, 1953 to Bertha Lee Tate Beard and the late William Wilson.

Jerry was a lifelong resident of Erie, having graduated from Academy High School. He retired after 27 years of service as a Sargent from the PA State Police, Lawrence Park Barracks.

Jerry was a member of Blessed Hope Seventh-Day Christian Church and he loved the Lord. He was a member of Brothers Linked Together and a son of the Barney-Smith American Legion Post 700. Jerry loved to golf, travel and spend time with friends.

Besides his father, Jerry was preceded in death by a son, Demetrius Adair; his sister, Josephine Wilson; his nephew, Javon Beard; and his maternal grandmother, Gertrude Tate.

In addition to his mother, our beloved leaves to cherish his memory his step-father, who raised him, Stanley Beard; his wife, Everlean Wilson; two sons, Davon Wilson and Jerry (Valerie) Woodard; two step-children, Sandra (William) King and Damien King; three sisters, Juanita Trusty, JoAnne (Kenneth) Henry, and Judy (Maurice) Jackson; four brothers, John Wilson, Jarvis (Lauretta) Beard, Jacinto (Karen) Beard, and Julian Beard; seven grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The viewing will be held at 536 West 10 ^th St., on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 5pm to 8pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 12 pm at Blessed Hope Seventh-Day Christian Church, 4 West 38 ^th St, Erie, PA with Pastor Alicia Jones eulogizing. Interment will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
