In Loving Memory of Joanne Richardson Coleman

Joanne Coleman, 77, was born on November 10, 1948 to the late Rufus Richardson and Mamie Holiday.  She transitioned from earth to glory on Sunday, May 10, 2026 (Mother's Day) at Allegheny General Hospital.

Joanne grew up in Aliquippa at the well known "Holiday  Inn"  on 6th Avenue.  It was called that because her grandmother, mother and several family members occupied the apartments in the building. She was educated in the Aliquippa School District and joined the workforce when she became of age.

Joanne was united in marriage to Preston Coleman lll and they were blessed with three sons Marquez, Preston, Ramoane (Tiesha) and one daughter Turquoise.

Joanne enjoyed cooking, shopping, gardening, talking on the phone with her favorite people and spending time with her family.  She could be seen from her window people watching and keeping an eye on the neighborhood.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents Rufus Richardson and Mamie Holiday, her step-father James Lee; Husband Preston Coleman III; Son Marquez Coleman; Nephew Jacques Burrell; Grandson Gamal Rogers; Two Brothers Jerome & Rufus Richardson; Three Sisters Debra Ann Burrell, Jackie Crumb & Tara Lee.

Joanne leaves to cherish her memory Her children: Preston, Turquoise and Ramoane (Tiesha) Coleman; Nieces and nephews: Jerome and Ayana Richardson, David and Stephanie Richardson, John Wilson, Richard and Makeeba Lowe, Willa, Lashonda and Dewayne Burrell, and Lamont Freeman; Grandchildren: Demetria Boykin, Marques Coleman, Taquesha Tucker, Xzavier and Prashauna Coleman, Robert, Rashyia,Raniya and Rion Owens, Monai, Marquez and Avery Coleman, Khilee Jeter and Taylore Coleman. God daughter Tamiko Chaka Khan Dawkins. A host of great grandchildren.

Devoted family: Paulette Jones, Javay White, Jackie Walker, Anita Hough, Robin Gaston, Nena Walker, Robert Jones, Micheal Holiday, Marcus Perry, Omar Griffin, Marvela Jackson ,and Lamar Rawl ; Friends: Crystal Lee Dawkins, Sylvia Banks, Ahna Dorsett ,Janice Townsend and Trina Lowe.

She fought a good fight, she finished her course, she kept the faith.  2 Timothy 4:7
