JOE MARVIN CHRISTOPHER

Joe Marvin Christopher, age 79, of Center Township, Monaca PA, passed away peacefully at Providence Care Home on September 21, 2026. He was born September 9, 1947, in Utica, NY, to loving parents, the late Joe and Edna Christopher.

Joe was a member of Ebenezer AME Church, where he served on the Senior Usher Board. His faith and commitment to his church were an important part of his life.

Prior to his disability, Joe was employed by J&L Steel Corp-Aliquippa, Pittsburgh Tube-Monaca, and Giant Eagle-Chippewa

Joe loved shopping and conversing with others at the Beaver Valley Mall. He enjoyed so many happy times spent with friends at the Senior Citizen Center and at Life Beaver County. Joe was such a special guy who just loved life and people. He especially enjoyed his league bowling and cheering on the Central Valley Trojans/Warriors football team with his best buddy, Carmen Taddeo. He was a long time devoted sports fan of Tony Dorsett and the Dallas Cowboys. Joe will be remembered for his love of sports, his friendly spirit, and the many friendships he built throughout his life. He leaves behind cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by brothers-in-law John (Pookie) Bell and Alex Rudy Smith, and sister-in-law Thelma Christopher.

Joe leaves to cherish his memory three sisters and one brother: Jethena (Steve) Ratey, Daisy Smith, Hilda (Lawrence) McCoy Sr. and Mark Christopher. Aunt: Mae Leverette. Nieces and nephews: Lawrence (Kristie) McCoy Jr, Angie (JR) Gilliam, John (Sonya) Bell Jr., Darrell (Valerie) McCoy, Lori Smith, Timothy McCoy, Stephanie (Grant) Eldridge, Nikki Bell, Cory (Nydia) Bell, Christopher McCoy, Marcus Christopher, Shaina Christopher, and devoted great niece Tiahnna (Carliss) Adams, Sister/Friend Diane Law and close friends Carmen Taddeo and Gary Sims.
