Johns Wesley Selby, 52, of Erie passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020. He was born on October 20, 1968 in Erie, PA to the late Rothell and Mary Lou Gore – Selby Sr.

After graduating from high school John worked as a funeral assistant for Brown Mortuary in Laurel, MS., were he was a faithful and dedicated employee.

John enjoyed fishing, hunting, eating and spending time with his beloved family. He loved to take trips from Erie to Laurel to visit family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers – Charles H. and Charles E. Selby; two sisters – Earthell and Martha Ann Selby.

He leaves to cherish his memory, four sisters – Mary Burrows (Robert), May Ruth Davis, Marynell Horne, and Irene Selby – Suttles (Kevin), two brothers – James Gore - Selby, Rothell Selby, Jr. (Paulette); cousin/brother – Roy Anthony Hinton, Sr.; cousin/sister – Dessi Bean (Mack, Jr.), cousin/sister – Debra Renee Hinton; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
