Jolorraine Woods, affectionately known as Jo Jo was born on March 23,1951 to the late Wayne(Hoss) Woods and Bibbilon McClellan Woods. She went home to her eternal resting place with her Lord and Savior on Friday May 23, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Jo was proceeded in death by her brother,  Robin Woods; her Aunts, Mary Jane Laird and Sadie(Tiny) Crumb; her uncles, Andrew Woods, Ronald Woods; her nephew, Wayne(Buggy) Woods; adopted parents, John and Geraldine Morris; adopted sisters Yvonne Horton and H. Joanne Curenton.

She was born in Rochester PA and was raised in Freedom PA, by her grandmother Mattie Suggs. She graduated from Freedom High School in 1971. In 1972, she moved to Aliquippa; where she resided until her passing.

Jolorraine was a faithful member of Greater Dominion Church of the Millennium, under the leadership of Bishop Kenneth G. Crumb Sr, where she was a Mother of the church. She loved to worship the Lord.

In the mid 70's, she attended Mason Felix Beauty School, where she obtained her license to become a cosmetologist. The Jeri Curl was the popular hairstyle at that time; her and Ms Wendy would travel to New York to do Jeri Curls for the weekend.

Jo's commitment to the City of Aliquippa, especially its youth, began in the early 1980's when she joined the Little Quips Cheerleaders as a sponsor alongside Sue Sonsini, helping to shape and build the program. Together, they fought for equality and opportunity for everyone wanting to be a Little Quip Cheerleader. By the mid 80's, she expanded her impact by working with the Jr High and Sr High Cheerleaders with Margie Kakiou and later Rose Olden. In the late 80's, when the girls basketball team competed in the state championship, she ensured that the cheerleaders received the same traveling accomodations as the basketball team. Her advocacy was met with support from parents, administrators, and staff, including Robert Castagna, Athletic Director, and Principal Jerry Montini. Ms Richey also stood with her for the fight for fairness.

Jolorraine's dedication went beyond cheering, as a custodian, she continued to advocate for the students. Although, she retired from the district because of health challenges, her love for Quip Nation never waived.

After her retirement from the Aliquippa School District, she started Woods Family Daycare. She would pour into her Daycare kids as well. She mainly kept her grandchildren, but if she saw that a young mother needed help, she would give in and add them to her Daycare. She kept her Daycare until she couldn't anymore.

She loved to cook; she would help David Gist with his catering company. After Mr Gist passed, she branched off on her own and would cook for different people and events, mainly her family and friends. She loved to host all the family gatherings at her house. She would cook & cook & cook; she would say, I would rather have enough than not have enough.

Jolorraine (Jo Jo) leaves to cherish her memory; her pride and joy, her kids Nicole J Woods, Timothy Woods, Dr Phillip Woods, Eric Carlisle and Tinita Fields. 3 sisters, Denise Bell, Mattie Woods and Vickie Gilliam. 5 brothers, Wayne(Timmy) Woods, Ruben Woods, Bishop Kenneth G (Jeniece) Crumb Sr, Bishop Alphonso(Henrietta), Orville(Chronicle) Crumb. 17 grandchildren, Malik(Samantha), Lyric, Lexus, D'mitri, Mahogany, Makyah, Malachi, Legacy, Liberty, Darron(Sara), Anaya, Chelsea, Eric, Tristan, Rashad, Jaleel and Javod. 4 Great grands, Naiomi, MJ, Naseem, Kavia. Dedicated nieces Kristina Johnson(caregiver), Kristen Johnson and Kalia Anthony. Special cousins, Audrey Woods(Jeff), Dorothy and Genetha Woods. Loving friends, Brenda Morris, Apostle Pam and Pastor Terry Swanson and family; Elder Tamiko Dawkins, Darron and Lourita Shegog, Kevin and Sonya Lockett, Joyce Shegog and family, Daisy Smith, Caroline and Karma Jackson, Maureen Redd, Good time Steeler Club, Sherman and Roxianne McBride and family, Georgette Thomas, Mary Jane Gilliam, Lisa Hendon, Ernie and Anthony Greer, Loretta(Sis) Dixon, Fields family, Olden family, Margie Kakiou, Dawn(Wendy) Anderson and family, Wanda Chavis and family, Danielle Sampson and family, Monica Horton and family, Kisha McCoy and family. A host of nieces and nephews and cousins.

Her words of Encouragement remains a guiding light for all:

Never give up, don't give in. Don't give up on life and never give up on your kids. When things are not what they seem, turn to the Lord; He will make it right in His time. God is always with you, especially when you least expect it.
