Jonathan Crosby, 36, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 unexpectedly at his residence in Columbus, Ohio.

Jonathan was born in Erie, PA, on October 17, 1985, son of John and Diana Crosby. He graduated from Collegiate Academy and later moved to Columbus, OH in 2003 to attend Columbus State.

Jonathan volunteered at Lifeline of Ohio, a nonprofit that promotes organ donation in Central and Southeastern Ohio.  He became an ambassador for Lifeline of Oho, where he did public speaking to promote and spread the word to African Americans about organ donation. He founded and was the owner of Extended Family of Ohio, a non-profit organization dedicated to giving back to the community. He later teamed up with Children's Hospital of Columbus,Ohio to give sick children teddy bears, card, and balloons on the holidays since they were unable to be at home with their families.

Jonathan was a true Dallas Cowboys fan, a sneaker fanatic and he loved to eat. He didn't have children of his own, but he was an amazing Uncle to his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ollie and William Johnson and Earnest and Rose Lee Crosby.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents John and Diana Crosby of Erie, Pa, his siblings Deanna Siku (Fanfan) of Pittsburgh, PA, Dana Crosby of Columbus, OH, Danyelle Crosby of Erie, Pa, his six nieces (Alyssa, Jasmine, Vanessa, Kamiyah, Joy, and Kelis), 2 nephews (Victor Jr. and Xzavier), and a special friend Lakeya Smith of Columbus, OH.

Jonathan touched many people far and near and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Services will be held at greater Bethlehem Temple Church (Pastor Joyce Moses), 4103 Washington Ave., on April 16, 2022. The viewing will be from 10am – 12pm immediately followed by the funeral at 12 noon. Bishop Frankie Quin will be officiating the service.
