Joseph Nathan Odom
November 20, 1970 – February 15, 2025

Joseph Nathan Odom, 54, of Erie, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at AHN Saint Vincent. Born on November 20, 1970, he was the beloved son of Joe Nathan Odom and the late Gloria Jean Vaughn Odom.

A proud graduate of East High School, Joseph went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Army. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ, first under the leadership of Bishop J.D. Myer and now Elder Audrey Favors.

Joseph was preceded in death by his loving mother, Gloria Jean Vaughn Odom; his cherished maternal grandparents, Moses and Christine Vaughn; paternal grandparents Henry Odom and Nellie Carter Odom; and his uncles, Joseph Lewis Vaughn and Moses Vaughn, Jr.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in his father, Joe Nathan Odom; his children, Malcolm DePree Odom, DuPree Nathan Odom, Malia Ra'Jean Odom, and Malik D'Aire Odom; and his treasured grandchildren, Malcolm DePree Odom Jr., Miliana Monroe Odom, and Jasmin Odom. Joseph is also survived by his sister, Shawn Odom, and three brothers, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He also leaves behind his special friend, Yvonne Fritz, who held a meaningful place in his life.

Known for his vibrant spirit and warm personality, Joseph was a true person. He had a deep love for music and was passionate about rapping, DJing, and singing. A devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he could always be found cheering on his team. More than anything, Joseph cherished his family and friends, always striving to bring people together with laughter and love.

The family invites friends and loved ones to send condolences to Pitts Funeral Home. A private service will be held in his honor.

Joseph's kindness, humor, and unwavering love for those around him will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
