On August 30, 2024, Katherine "Katie" Miller went home to rest with her Lord, surrounded by her family.

Katherine was born on August 30, 1941 to the late Walter Graham Jr and Margaret Fisher in Uniontown, Pa.  Katherine was raised by her grandmother, the late Katherine Harris.  Katherine was a graduate of Rochester Area High School, Rochester, Pa. She was a member of Greater Emmanuel AME Zion Church for over 60 years.  Katherine was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Leah Andrea Hunter and sister, Ora Lee Goodwin.

Katherine is survived by her brother Walter Harris, New Brighton, Pa and Wallace Hampton of Lake City, Fla., daughters, Melissa Miller, Tracy Black, and Sarita Motton, Aliquippa Pa and Michelle Miller, Pittsburgh, Pa.

Katherine loved to porch sit and hand popsicles out to the neighborhood children.  She loved bargain shopping, enjoyed watching Crime Investigation shows, crossword puzzles, and traveling including the infamous bus trips to various Casinos.  She was the face and Dept Head at Hills Department Store, Green Garden Plaza.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her four grandchildren, Andre Hunter, Alyssa Black, and Michael Black Jr of Aliquippa, and Amber (Robert) Jackson, Steubenville, Oh.  She also left behind to cherish her memory are her four precious great-grandchildren, Enri, Aminah, and Angel Goosby, Steubenville, Oh, and Journie Hunter, Ambridge, Pa.

Prayer for the death of our Mother:  As I mourn the passing of my Mother, may I find safety and comfort in your name, may your voice soothe my pain and strengthen me in my weakness, may your promises provide hope in my distress and stability in my confusion, may my Mother live in perfect peace with you for eternity.
