Lela T. Moreland, 71, of Aliquippa, peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born to the late Herman and Almeda Barkley on July 18, 1947 and was one of 5 children. She was a honorable member of New Holy Temple COGIC and served on the Mothers Board. After many years of employment with the Schreibers Cheese Factory, she retired. Mother Moreland loved to fish, watch soap operas, was a collector of Barbie Dolls and was an avid Steelers Fan.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Keith Moreland and two sisters; Patricia Preist and Almeda Barkley.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Tiniece Brookens, her brother; Herman (Georgian) Barkley, sister; Lavern Owensby, 4 granddaughters, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
